Hi!  My name is Debbie Arnold.  I am the Children's Minister here at Gateway and feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to minister to the children of this church family.  I have served in this capacity since February of 2001.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from David Lipscomb University and taught full time for twelve years.   I have always loved  teaching!   Being able to share Jesus with children is my joy.

I coordinate the Bible classes and fellowship activities for the Nursery through Sixth Grade.  I am also the teacher for our children's church program which we call Bold Bible Kids, so named because we believe that "Kids can take bold action for what is right."  Children age three through Third Grade meet together to worship and praise God each Sunday morning through song, Bible stories, scripture memory and prayer.

The purpose of our children's ministry program is to supplement the family in leading children to know Jesus Christ and helping them to become fully devoted followers of Him.

Some of our other children's programs include:

  • a staffed nursery during all Bible classes and  worship services
  • children's Bible classes each Sunday morning and Wednesday evening
  • a one-day "Super Saturday" Vacation Bible School each summer
  • special fellowship events such as: the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Family Carnival and Family Fun Nights
  • The Pack - a group designed especially for our kids 4th through 6th grade
