Announcement Sheet

December 2007

*          December 9 is our last SHARE Group until January.

*          Don’t forget about our Friendsday Night on Wednesday the 5th.  It’s going to be awesome.  I’m telling you, if you don’t come, you’re going to be angry at yourself.  Seriously.  We’re eating pizza afterward, so . . . there’s that.

*          December 28-31 is Youth In Action/Nashville.  The sign up sheet is up until December 9th and it is coming down.  So if you’ve signed up already, you may pay your $125 beginning the 9th.  Here’s the info.

*           Youth In Action is a youth rally at Lipscomb in Nashville.

*           We’ll be leaving on December 28 @ 7 AM.  We’ll be back on December 31st    sometime mid-afternoon to early evening.  We’re going to try to be back by 3, but traffic is so unpredictable.  We’ll call you when we get to the Flomaton exit.

*           The cost for YIA is $125 per person.  You will also need to bring money for 8 fast        food meals, and any shopping you may want to do at The Opry Mills Mall.

*           We’ll be staying in a hotel, so you won’t have to worry about bringing bedding.                       You will need to bring a Bible, warm clothes, mittens, toiletries and probably                       something else I can’t think of.  If you have any questions, call my cell @ 206-                   1684.

*           I don’t care if you bring your cell phone.  I don’t care if you keep it with you the                     whole trip.  I don’t care if you have a chip planted inside your head that allows                   you to talk to aliens.  I am telling you the first time it goes off during a session, I will personally test it’s aerodynamic qualities.  Seriously, it’s annoying.  Give                         them my cell phone to call in case of emergency.  I am a chaperone and                     therefore required by law to keep mine on vibrate at all times.  Seriously.

*        We’re going to collect money for Mount Dora Children’s Home after services on December 16.  Let me know if you can man (or woman) a door for me for about ten minutes after church.  I am going to announce it on the 9th and let people know we’re having out donation the following week.  I need about eight of you to hang out afterward on the 16th and collect money.  Let me know immediately if you can help.  Thanks.

*        Start talking to your friends and family about Connect Weekend.  It’s coming up January 26-27, 2008.  Brad Cox is going to be here!  20TT is going to perform!  It’s going to be a really good time for you to say your peace and be understood.  The community is welcome, so get involved and make sure you’re here!
