Stay Up To Date
Now this part only makes sense. Being a member at Gateway gives us the opportunity to communicate directly with you in a way we cannot to those outside of the membership. So what does that involve? Gateway uses a membership database called Elexio that acts as both an app and website. We love what Elexio gives us the capabilities to do. From updating our calendars, to contacting ministry leaders, to receiving important updates related to services/announcements/prayer requests, the list goes on and on. You will provide your contact information for yourself and your family members (at your discretion) such as email, cell number, etc. and you will be added to lists of your choosing. You can participate in giving through the Elexio app, and the app seamlessly works through maps of your device to find events that are offsite such as Life Groups, community events, etc.
Here's the million dollar question. Will I be contacted like crazy and annoyed like telemarketing organizations? No. You can control how much content you receive. There are emails and text blasts for example that go out to the whole church in case of a sudden change in schedule due to an approaching hurricane for example. There are also email blasts that go to a group called "knee mail" that provides prayer requests to those who have signed up for that notification so they can be praying over a specific need. Members will also have the option to belong to a Facebook group The Gateway Pipeline which gives members of that forum a place to express needs which communicates to other members so they might be able to provide assistance. Communication is so important in our lives and we ensure that we not only communicate well, but we also go to great means to protect private information from being hacked. Our goal is to do our jobs to keep you up to date with everything happening at Gateway.
